			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dr. Steven Martel was a math and science teacher prior to studying medicine. He completed medical school at the University of Vermont and pediatric residency training at the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Martel served as the Director of Critical Care Pediatric and Neonatal Transport and Assistant Chief of the Pediatric Hospitalist Division at California Pacific Medical Center. Dr. Martel is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and was recently elected to the Chapter Board as a Member-at-Large. He is a certified infant massage instructor and has special interest in the care of children with chronic medical issues.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dr. Oded Herbsman currently serves as the Vice Chair for the Department of Pediatrics and the Head of Pediatric Quality Assurance at California Pacific Medical Center. He completed medical school at Duke University and pediatric residency at the University of California in San Francisco. He has served as Medical Director of Pediatric Inpatient Services and Chief of the Pediatric Hospitalist Division at California Pacific Medical Center. He helped found the Sutter Health Childhood Asthma Initiative to standardize guidelines for the treatment of asthma. He is a certified medical acupuncturist and Chinese herbal practitioner with a special interest in complementary and alternative medicine. Dr. Herbsman is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and resides in Marin County with his wife and two children.</p>
