Dr. Steven Martel was a math and science teacher prior to studying medicine. He completed medical school at the University of Vermont and pediatric residency training at the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Martel served as the Director of Critical Care Pediatric and Neonatal Transport and Assistant Chief of the Pediatric Hospitalist Division at California Pacific Medical Center. Dr. Martel is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and was recently elected to the Chapter Board as a Member-at-Large. He is a certified infant massage instructor and has special interest in the care of children with chronic medical issues.
